Does art imitate life or vice-versa?
Spinal Tap started as the ultimate parody of rock pomposity, then when I saw Iron Maiden they seemed more like a parody of Spinal Tap rather than metal legends.
In a far worse manner, in todays news there is the story of American troops opening fire on the car taking kidnapped Italian journalist Guiliana Sgrena to freedom, wounding her and killing and killing Italian intelligence agent Nicola Calipari. It was described as the strangest episode of "friendly" fire since the war began, but it sounds far more like a scene from Team America: World Police.
